The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) to develop and demonstrate a method for moisture removal in which an alternating electric field is applied to a surface in a manner that momentarily detaches droplets from the surface and facilitates their removal. Project work would occur within existing facilities at UTRC in Harford, Connecticut. The project would be completed over two Budget Periods.
