The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Giner to develop a novel unitized regenerative fuel cell (URFC). The structure of the URFC would be modified so as to reduce the number of components required in the system and thereby lower the associated costs. Additional measures/technologies would be assessed to improve performance efficiency and water management. The project would be completed over two Budget Periods (BPs), with a Go/No-Go Decision Point in between each BP.
