Supplement Analysis for Bulk Hydrogen Storage Construction and Operation at the Paducah and Portsmouth DUF6 Sites
DOE prepared this Supplement Analysis to analyze the proposal to install a Bulk Hydrogen Storage backup supply to the plant hydrogen supply system at the DUF6 conversion facilities in Paducah Kentucky, and Portsmouth, Ohio. The new hydrogen system will provide a consistent method of generating hydrogen with a backup reserve, maintaining uninterrupted hydrogen supply and thereby reducing production limitations.
