Keystone XL Pipeline
The U.S. Department of State issued a notice of intent to prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement for the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline (DOE/EIS-0433-S3).
On November 8, 2018, the Federal District Court for the District of Montana ordered the Department to supplement the analysis in the 2014 Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for the Keystone XL Pipeline (DOE/EIS-0433-S1) relating to greenhouse gas emissions, oil spills, cultural resources, and market analysis. In response to this ruling, the State Department intends to issue the updated SEIS.
