Assessment to Evaluate Safety System Management at the Liquid Waste concentration, Storage, and Transfer Facilities

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Nuclear Safety and Environmental Assessments, within the independent Office of Enterprise Assessments, conducted an assessment of safety system management at the Savannah River Site Liquid Waste Concentration, Storage, and Transfer Facilities. This assessment was conducted as part of an ongoing review of the management of safety systems at hazard category 1, 2, and 3 facilities across the DOE complex. The purpose of this effort is to evaluate processes for monitoring, maintaining, and operating safety systems to ensure their continued capability to reliably perform their intended safety functions.
