The Check Station Building at Crackerneck Wildlife Management Area and Ecological Reserve (CWMA&ER) is an open structure that provides South Carolina Department of Natural Resources check personnel limited protection from ambient weather conditions when operating the check station. This open structure will be replaced with an enclosed portable building (14 feet wide, 28 feet long) at the same location. The new building will protect personnel from potentially hazardous weather conditions. The existing open structure will be relocated approximately 30 feet away from the present location.
