The U.S. Department of Energy is proposing to provide federal funding to North Carolina State University to develop a Photovoltaic (PV) Analysis and Response Support (PARS) platform that provides real-time situational awareness and optimal response plan selection. The objective of the project would be to improve the grid support function performance of hybrid PV systems, specifically with respect to visibility, dispatchability, security, and reliability.
