Summary
DOE prepared this supplemental EA to analyze the potential environmental impacts of changes to its energy conservation standards for heating products (10 CFR part 431). The changes revise the exclusion for certain primarily decorative hearth products from the otherwise applicable energy conservation standards for “vented hearth heaters.” DOE issued a FONSI in November 2011.
