CX-019010: Routine Actions at the Maybell West, Colorado, Disposal Site

Legacy Management is proposing to conduct current and ongoing routine actions at the Maybell Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act Title II Disposal Site. These actions include annual site inspections, site maintenance as necessary, emergency measures, environmental monitoring, and noxious weed control. These actions are required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s general license for the Maybell site and are identified in the site’s Long-Term Surveillance and Maintenance Plan. Access to the site is by means of a perpetual Right-of-Way agreement with the Bureau of Land Management.
