DOE/EIS-0484: Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement

Montana-to-Washington Transmission System Upgrade Project in Washington, Idaho, and Montana

In 2012, Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) announced that it would prepare DOE/EIS-0484 to assess the potential environmental impacts of the Montana-to-Washington Transmission System Upgrade Project (M2W Project). The proposal would respond to requests from customers to increase available transmission capacity from BPA’s Garrison Substation in western Montana to power markets west of the Cascade Mountains. (In 2015, BPA cancelled the EIS.)
