The USDA Forest Service’s Española Ranger District within the Santa Fe National Forest prepared an EA that analyzed the potential environmental impacts of issuing a special use permit for the Los Alamos National Laboratory Paleoseismic Research Proposal. The proposal included excavating trenches across segments of the Pajarito Fault System on sites located within Forest System lands west of Highway 501 in Los Alamos County. The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) adopted the EA as DOE/EA-2084.
