The Department of Energy (DOE) National Park Program proposes to enable a controlled public bike ride organized by two community organizations for up to 150 registered participants aged 18 years or older. Bike Tri-Cities will sponsor the bike ride, the route for which includes portions of the Manhattan Project National Historical Park's (MAPR) Hanford Unit. Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI) will sponsor lunch and a program for the participants following the ride. The National Park Service is also a sponsor of the event. The event would be conducted in accordance with a "Special Use Permit" that will be maintained on file.
