C-Area Tritium Anomaly (CPT) Cone Penetrometer Technology
CX(s) Applied: B3.1
Date: 06/04/2009
Location(s): Aiken, South Carolina
Office(s): Environmental Management, Savannah River Operations Office

The purpose of this project is to obtain data to determine if the source of the elevated tritium found in CDB-1 is from the disassembly basin or part of the documented C-Area tritium plume. In order to investigate possible sources of tritium contamination in well CDB-1, up to 7 direct push sampling holes (cone penetrometer technology) will be completed near 105-C.
