"As a member of the Blackfeet Tribe in Northwest Montana, I was raised on a reservation within a tight-knit community that treats everyone like family. Education has been my outlet for overcoming challenges and has fueled my deep interest in engineering. I was introduced to MSIPP during an internship at Sandia National Laboratories (SNL). There I connected with mentors like Dr. Stan Atcitty who introduced me to other tribal partners at SNL.
MSIPP connections inspired me to pursue a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and to seek more research opportunities with MSIPP. My goal is to help my tribal community through research contributions and to teach the next generation of Native American students to equip them with the skills needed to support our community."
