OST Aviation is best Small Program in the federal government

NNSA’s Office of Secure Transportation has won the government-wide Outstanding Small Aviation Unit award for the second year in a row.

NNSA’s Office of Secure Transportation has won the government-wide Outstanding Small Aviation Unit award for the second year in a row. The competition is sponsored by the General Services Administration.

“Our aviation program was judged to be the safest, most efficient and effective in all aspects of a flight program--aviation management and administration, operations, maintenance, training, and safety,” said Alex Bapty, Director of OST’s Aviation Operations Division.

The unit had previously won the Department of Energy’s award in the same category. Three OST exceptional performers also won individual awards in the GSA competition. They are  

Patrick Williams for aircraft maintenance, David Ortiz for operations and Danielle Bisenieks for administrative support.
