The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is set to host the inaugural NNSA Innovation Day on October 8, 2024 in Arlington, VA. This landmark event promises to be a pivotal platform for technological growth and collaboration. Innovation Day offers an unrivaled opportunity for small business owners, industry leaders, and technological innovators to directly engage with one another and explore potential collaborations with the NNSA.
“This is part of a wider initiative to expand NNSA’s technology maturation program, which aims to foster a collaborative environment with the Department of Defense and industry partners such as small businesses to deeply understand their specific needs and challenges in technology adoption,” said Jahleel Hudson, Director of NNSA’s Technology and Partnerships Office.
NNSA is partnering with FedTech, a leader in deep tech commercialization and venture development whose primary objective is to facilitate technology transition from federal and university labs to market deployment. FedTech harnesses its extensive network of industry experts, investors, and entrepreneurs to provide resources, mentorship, and funding to promising startups.
This joint event will facilitate introductions, enabling attendees to engage deeply with NNSA laboratory partners and establish connections that promise to extend well beyond the confines of the day. Participants will have the unique opportunity to lay the groundwork for partnerships that can enhance their strategic positioning within the industry.
NNSA and FedTech are also seeking insight on emerging technology trends and are currently undertaking a critical Industry Technology Trend Assessment to shape the future of key technologies such as Renewable Energy, Integrated Sensing & Cyber, and Human-Machine Interfaces.
