The Transient Reactor Test Facility at Idaho National Laboratory safely went to low power after a 23-year hiatus. The recently refurbished facility tests nuclear reactor fuels and materials under extreme conditions. It's an important asset to increasing safety and performance of current and future nuclear reactors.
