Laurie S. Morman began her public service at the Department of Energy (DOE) in 1991 and, since 2007, she has served as the Chief of Staff/Senior Advisor for the Office of Management (MA). Ms. Morman provides senior leadership for the development, management, direction and evaluation of MA’s programs, including providing oversight for roughly $66 million in annual appropriations and over $148M in funding for business lines under the Department’s Working Capital Fund. In particular, Ms. Morman ensures that appropriate long-range planning is coordinated and accomplished.
She also served in a dual-hatted role for a period of time as the Chief Operating Officer for the Under Secretary for Management and Performance, leading DOE’s efforts to establish the Manhattan Project National Historical Park. Prior positions include a variety of roles in resource management and management analysis. Ms. Morman possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the College of William and Mary, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Marymount University and is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute.
