To ensure the safety and security of employees, guests, and visitors, DOE has established emergency procedures to respond to incidents affecting DOE facilities, personnel, and operations.
The Emergency Preparedness documents and information for DOE Headquarters employees are in the Department's Energy Hub page on Emergency Operations and Safety at Headquarters. Only DOE employees that are attached to a DOE network have access to the Energy Hub, and a computer, tablet, or phone that is not on the DOE Network will get an error message when trying to access the Energy Hub system.
Employees should access the Energy Hub Emergency Operations and Safety section for emergency preparedness information and resources including:
- Emergency Procedures Pamphlets
- Occupant Emergency Plans (OEPs)
- Building Evacuation Maps and Assembly Areas
- And other information regarding health, safety, and security situations and preparedness
It is important that all DOE personnel familiarize themselves with the nature of potential emergencies, and the actions to take if an emergency were to occur. Once an emergency situation starts there will not be time to look for information on what to do and what not to do.
