The Sherwood disposal site was a uranium processing site addressed by Title II of the Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act (UMTRCA). The site transitioned to DOE in 2001 and is administered under the provisions of a general Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license.
