Remediation at the Maxey Flats site was conducted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) regulations. The Commonwealth owns and operates the site and the Office of Legacy Management has managed site records and provided stakeholder support since 2004.
