The General Atomics Hot Cell Facility (GA HCF) was a privately-owned research laboratory, classified by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Legacy Management (LM) as a Manhattan Engineer District/Atomic Energy Commission Legacy Site (MED/AEC Legacy Site). After remediation, associated long-term stewardship activities transferred to DOE LM. This federal agency office is responsible for managing the records related to facility remediation and, as necessary, responding to stakeholder inquiries.
