The Center for Energy and Environmental Research (CEER) (MED/AEC Legacy Site) was established in 1957, with facilities in Mayagüez and Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. The main activities conducted were research, education, and training programs in the medical applications of radioisotopes. The facilities have been decontaminated and released for unrestrictive use. Responsibility for maintaining records for the CEER site transferred to DOE’s Office of Legacy Management in 2006. The site requires records management and stakeholder support.
