The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Legacy Management (LM) posted the Summary of Annual Site Environmental Reports (ASER) Calendar Year 2023 to the LM website Sept. 30, 2024.

The ASER provides a description of LM sites’ environmental conditions and regulatory-compliance status and LM’s programmatic environmental activities. DOE’s April 2024 Guidance for the Preparation of the 2023 Department of Energy Annual Site Environmental Reports acknowledges that LM sites have unique characteristics and suggests two alternatives for preparing the ASER. LM has opted for alternative 1, which is a scaled-down report that meets the intent of DOE Order 231.1B Admin Chg 1 and provides a summary of LM’s programmatic and site-specific environmental activities for calendar year 2023.

The 2023 ASER is available here.
