U.S. Department of Energy

"The Office of Indian Energy Program Review is a simple report out for all for all of the grantees, but its much more than that. It brings people together physically and they can share lessons learned."

"Its more than just a presentation, you get to see their personal experience, their personal struggles, and how they have adapted their project."

"When I started this, the attempt was to not only get feedback and progress on the project, but as important to provide a venue to celebrate each other’s successes, learn from each other."

"People have come up to me all day during breaks and meals to have these conversations about "oh, I saw your presentation" and can we talk about whatever. And that’s been really awesome."

"There are a lot of issues in tribal communities, but there’s a lot of hope and a lot of determination and there’s a lot of capability. And what we see here at this event is a room full of communities that are doing what it takes to realize the meaningful changes that communities need."

"It’s magical when you bring people together."

"It’s touched my heart to be around such ambitious, positive thinking people, and successful projects in Indian Country."

"It’s great to see these folks. It feels so welcoming and like family to see these folks to just talk about what’s possible and what the future holds."
