Safeguards Over Sensitive Technology
The Department of Energy's national laboratories have diverse missions that range from national defense to fundamental research in the physical sciences. Work at the laboratories is often carried out in collaborations with scientists and researchers from non-Department facilities in foreign countries, frequently through the use of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements and Work-for-Others projects.
