Join the Department of Energy’s Grid Deployment Office (GDO) on May 17, 2023 for an overview of the draft National Interest Electric Transmission Corridors (NIETC) Designation Process and how to provide feedback.
On May 9, 2023, GDO issued the NIETC Notice of Intent and Request for Information to inform an applicant-driven, route-specific process to designate NIETCs that will unlock new financing and regulatory tools to spur investments. The RFI seeks feedback on final guidelines, procedures, and evaluation criteria for the designation process.
