Reesha Trznadel

Reesha Kang Trznadel is the Deputy General Counsel for Business Transactions at the United States Department of Energy (DOE).  She manages a legal team responsible for providing legal counsel to the procurement, financial assistance (and other funding), technology transfer and intellectual property, and contractor labor and pension activities of program offices throughout the Department, including the Offices of Environmental Management, Fossil Energy, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Nuclear Energy, Federal Energy Management Program, Grid Deployment, Indian Energy, Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, Technology Transitions, State and Community Energy Programs, and Science. 

Ms. Trznadel joined DOE’s Office of General Counsel in 2006 and previously held the position of Chief Counsel for the DOE Golden Field Office and senior attorney in the Office of Assistant General Counsel for General Law.  Prior to joining the Department, Ms. Trznadel was a senior attorney in the Social Security Administration’s Office of General Counsel and she clerked for the Missouri Supreme Court. Ms. Trznadel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Comparative Literary Studies from Occidental College and a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law. She is a member of the Missouri Bar.

The following offices report to Ms. Trznadel:  the Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Procurement and Financial Assistancethe Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property, the Office of the Associate General Counsel for Contractor Human Resources; Oak Ridge Office, Golden Field Office, Chicago Office, and the National Energy Technology Laboratory.
