DOE ordered Interlink Products International, Inc., to pay a $13,200 civil penalty after DOE testing revealed that AquaDance brand basic model 1141 does not comply with the water conservation standard for showerheads. Interlink had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the model. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Interlink.

DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Interlink on January 13, 2017, finding that AquaDance brand basic model 1141 does not comport with the water conservation standards. DOE determined the products were noncompliant based on DOE testing. Interlink notified each person (or company) to whom Interlink distributed the noncompliant products that the products do not meet Federal standards. In addition, Interlink provided to DOE documents and records showing the number of units Interlink distributed and to whom.
