On October 14, 2015, DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Carter-Hoffmann finding that the commercial refrigeration equipment basic model including nameplate model # IRAC15-1 does not comply with applicable energy conservation standards based on DOE testing.

On November 16, 2015, DOE issued a Notice of Allowance to Carter-Hoffmann regarding new basic model, IRAC15EF.
