DOE ordered Bradford White Corporation to pay a $81,149 civil penalty after Bradford White had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the noncompliant Bradford White model # 80A water heaters. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Bradford White.
On August 22, 2019, DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Bradford White finding that the Bradford White basic model 80A, does not comply with applicable energy conservation standards based on DOE testing. Bradford White provided DOE documents and records showing the number of units Bradford White distributed.
