The Renewable Energy Working Group (REWG) helps agencies understand and meet ambitious federal renewable energy requirements. The REWG is a forum for agencies to exchange information and promote the implementation of renewable energy projects in order to optimize their values for reducing energy costs and improving resilience. This working group:
- Develops resources to foster the integration of renewable energy in federal buildings and other infrastructure consistent with the Renewable Energy Use Requirement of EPAct 2005 Section 203
- Creates and shares resources to help agencies implement renewable energy infrastructure for federal buildings that improves resilience and reduces energy costs
- Addresses financial and technical issues specific to renewable energy
- Provides agencies with assistance in implementing renewable energy requirements in law and executive order.
