Mark Ackiewicz is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for FECM’s Office of Carbon Management. In this role, Mark oversees and sets the strategic direction for the Office, and leads a team that administers the programs, including technology research, development, and demonstration; analysis; domestic and international engagement; and intergovernmental collaboration.
Mark has over 25 years of experience in the government and private sector, working on technology development, innovation, and product commercialization, and building domestic and international partnerships. He is a 2016-2017 White House Leadership Fellow alumnus, and has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a Master’s in Engineering Management from George Washington University.
