The Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management gives notice of receipt of an application, filed on January 23, 2023, by Power LNG LLC (Power), requesting long-term multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) in an amount up to the equivalent of 7.0445 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas per year.  Power requests authorization to export LNG to any country with which the United States currently has, or in the future may enter into, a free trade agreement requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas (FTA countries).  The authorization is requested through December 31, 2050.  Power plans to transport the LNG in approved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers from its proposed Newport Galveston facility on Galveston Island, Texas, where the ISO containers will be loaded onto ocean-going carriers for delivery to FTA countries.  Power requests this authorization on its own behalf and as agent for other parties who hold title to the LNG at the time of export.
