Due to the impacts associated with Hurricane Harvey, the Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy has extended the deadline for submission of offers to purchase crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) associated with the sale announced last week.
The new deadline for companies to submit offers is 2:00 PM Central Time on Wednesday, September 6.
Any company registered in the SPR’s Crude Oil Sales Offer Program is eligible to participate in SPR crude oil sales. Other interested companies may register through the SPR website’s Crude Oil Sales Offer Program.
