The Office of Fossil Energy (FE) of the Department of Energy (DOE) gives notice of receipt of an application filed on March 25, 2014, by Air Flow North America Corp. (AIR FLOW) requesting short-term, multi-contract authorization to export up to a total of 0.53 bcf/yr of previously imported or domestically produced for a period of two years, beginning the earlier of the date of first export. Air Flow requests that such short-term authorization provide for export from the Atlantic coast to the Gulf Coast, including Texas and Florida, to any country located within South America, Central America or the Caribbean or Africa that has, or in the future will have, the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier (by use of approved ISO IMO7/TVAC-ASME LNG containers transported on ocean-going carriers), and with which the United States currently has, or in the future will have, an FTA requiring the national treatment for trade in natural gas and LNG. A full delivery of LNG at the Clean Energy Pickens Plant will be approximately 10 000 gallons per iso container and will be in compliance with the DOT regulation requirements. No modifications or additions to Clean Energy’s Pickens Plant LNG facility are needed in order for Air Flow to export LNG from the United States.
