Shari Meghreblian is a senior manager for the Ernst & Young (EY) Business Consulting Group for the government and public service sector. Her responsibilities include providing comprehensive strategic, operations and technical advice to state and local governments. Prior to joining EY, Meghreblian founded and ran Triple Edge Strategies, LLC., a specialized environmental consulting and public affairs firm that helped executives in the private and public sectors implement effective environmental strategies.
Meghreblian served as Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). She also served as a TDEC deputy commissioner with responsibility for overseeing the department’s environmental regulatory programs for the protection of Tennessee’s air, land, and water. Meghreblian was a member of the Tennessee Governor’s Rural Task Force and served on the Department of Agriculture’s Interagency Task Force on Rural Economic Development. An effective advocate for Tennessee on the regional and national level, she was selected as chair of the Environmental Council of the States Federal Facilities Forum in 2013.
Meghreblian has been a champion to protect public health and the environment. Her leadership in these areas was recognized in 2016, when she was named as a “Woman of Influence in Public Policy” by the Nashville Business Journal.
A highlight of Meghreblian’s public service was developing and helping lead the Tennessee Governor’s TN H2O initiative. This broad-based effort assembled stakeholders from federal, state, and local governments, as well as industry, academia, environmental advocacy groups and public utilities to develop a statewide plan for future water availability in Tennessee. In 2019, she received the Conservationist of the Year Award from the Tennessee Wildlife Federation for this work.
Meghreblian earned a doctorate in environmental management and a Master of Science in Engineering from Vanderbilt University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Economics from Western Kentucky University.
Meghreblian has been nominated to serve on EMAB as a special government employee. She will provide expert advice on large project planning, and intergovernmental and stakeholder engagement.
