Ralph DiSibio has spent his entire career working in the energy, nuclear and construction industries. He was the first President of the Energy and Environment unit for Washington Group International (WGI). WGI became the leader in design, construction, operations, and management of critical facilities for DOE. During his tenure, DiSibio managed the Savannah River Site, the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, the West Valley Demonstration Project, the Weldon Spring Site, the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project in Idaho Falls, and major contracts in Hanford and Oak Ridge.
In 2011, he became Chairman of Kurion, eventually becoming the CEO and the Executive Chairman. Kurion was a proud first responder at Fukushima, responsible for cesium removal from contaminated water. Kurion was acquired by Veolia in 2016.
DiSibio is the co-inventor of the SurePac nuclear waste system and co-wrote the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1981. He served as President of Parsons Power, building power plants internationally. He also served as Executive Vice President for Westinghouse at the Hanford Site.
He currently serves as a member of the Management Committee of Orano Federal Services and has served on various boards including Elixsys Inc., Quanta Services, ParSystems, Conti Construction and Kurion.
DiSibio earned degrees from Northern Colorado University, Rowan University and Western Colorado University. He also completed programs at the Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University in Bologna, Italy, and is the author of the 2006 book, “Reel Lessons in Leadership.”
DiSibio serves on EMAB as a special government employee. He provides expert advice on contracting and management, large project planning, risk assessment, and transportation.
