Attendees to a recent meeting on efforts to collaborate in science and technology fields to enhance national security included U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson and others from a delegation from offices representing a majority of the U.S. congressional districts in South Carolina; a staff member from U.S. Sen. Tim Scott’s office; and Maj. Gen. Van McCarty, the adjutant general and head of the South Carolina Military Department.
