In the first year of producing its groundbreaking monthly news show, “Energycast Oak Ridge,” the Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM) took home a national award recognizing excellence in storytelling and public outreach.
Attendees to a recent meeting on efforts to collaborate in science and technology fields to enhance national security included U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson and others from a delegation from offices representing a majority of the U.S. congressional districts in South Carolina; a staff member from U.S. Sen. Tim Scott’s office; and Maj. Gen. Van McCarty, the adjutant general and head of the South Carolina Military Department.
Leaders from the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic, DOE’s Savannah River Site (DOE-SR) and EM’s Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) recently briefed stakeholders on efforts to collaborate in science and technology fields.
