EHSS-11 obtained a pressure safety subject matter expert to compare the European Standards (EN) for pressure vessels (EN 13445) and pressure piping (EN 13480) to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Codes for pressure vessels (ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (B&PVC) Section VIII) and process piping (ASME B31.3) to determine if they are as safe and healthful. The EN 13480 to ASME B31.3 report and the EN 13445 to ASME B&PVC Section VIII report detail the comparison and include recommendations when the EN Standard is not as protective as the ASME Code.
