Headquarters Facilities Master Security Plan - Chapter 17, Headquarters Security Officer Program Duties and Responsibilities

This chapter implements the Headquarters Site Security Plan (SSP), which requires that all Headquarters (HQ) program elements appoint a Federal employee to the position of Headquarters Security Officer (HSO) and a second Federal employee to the position of Alternate HSO.  The HSO and Alternate act as the official points of contact between the element and the Office of Headquarters Security Operations (EHSS-40).  The procedures for appointing HSOs, their required training, information available for developing HSO position descriptions, performance plans, and performance appraisals; and summaries of HSO duties are covered in this chapter.  This chapter is maintained by the HSO Program Manager in EHSS-42.
