The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s (EERE’s) Wind Energy Technologies Office (WETO) is committed to investing in the best and brightest ideas from our R&D community. Our commitment to this mission is reflected in our ongoing efforts to ensure that the public can easily find and apply to funding opportunities with EERE.

Recently, users have experienced intermittent performance issues in the EERE Program Information Center and EERE is working diligently to resolve them. To continue investigating the performance issues without impacting the ability for applicants to respond to opportunities, we have decided to temporarily move all EERE application submissions activities back to the EERE Funding Opportunity Exchange (Exchange). We anticipate using Exchange for submissions through September 30, 2021.

What Does This Mean For Applicants Interested in the Open WETO Funding Opportunity, Offshore Wind Energy Environmental Research and Instrumentation Validation?

  • Submissions Cutoff: The EERE Program Information Center is no longer accepting applicant submissions as of Friday, January 22. Please refer to the published opportunities to view deadlines.
  • Accessing Applications in Exchange: WETO has asked applicants who already started an application to re-initiate their application in Exchange.
  • Exchange User Accounts: All applicants will need an Exchange account to access their applications, if applicable, and respond to future EERE opportunities.
  • Live Trainings: All live training sessions were paused as of January 25. If you have already registered for a training session after this date, you will be receiving an email that the training session has been cancelled.

If you have any additional questions, you can contact the EERE Program Information Center Help Desk at [email protected].

Thank you,

EERE Program Information Center Team and Wind Energy Technologies Office
