In support of National Ocean Month, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Wind Energy Technologies Office (WETO) has released a Request for Information (RFI) seeking input from industry, academia, laboratories, government agencies, and the public about environmental-related research needs concerning offshore wind energy development in the United States. WETO is seeking input on high-priority environmental research needs regarding impact assessment, model validation, and monitoring and mitigation technology development and testing, in support of U.S. offshore wind energy.
