DOE To Issue Funding for Grid-Enhancing Technologies

The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory released a Notice of Intent to provide funds to address gaps in information on the real-world benefits and usage of grid-enhancing technologies.

DOE's National Energy Technology Laboratory, on behalf of DOE’s Office of Electricity, released a notice of intent to provide funds to address gaps in information on the real-world benefits and usage of grid-enhancing technologies. This upcoming funding opportunity, titled Increasing Utilization and Reliability of Electric Infrastructure with Grid-Enhancing Technologies, is planned for release in February 2023 and will support the demonstration of dynamic line rating and power flow controller capabilities, in line with the department’s Building a Better Grid Initiative.
