Description/Duties:

The Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) is looking to hire a Deployment Manager to be part of its Technology Integration (TI) team. Deployment Managers support the demonstration and deployment of high-impact technologies and solutions that enable the reliable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective integration of sustainable transportation for our nation. At the GS-13 level, the TI Deployment Manager will serve as an expert on accelerating the adoption of advanced technology vehicles, alternative fuels, energy efficient mobility systems and technologies, and other efficient advanced technologies that can reduce transportation energy costs for businesses and consumers.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required to Perform the Work/Specialized Experience:
- Analyzing situations, identifying problems, probing causes, and recommending courses of action or solutions.
- Using sound technical judgment and initiative to help solve the challenges of changing conditions and other problems relative to assigned projects and programs.
- Working closely with a team, performing assessments, clearly and concisely documenting assessment results, and presenting findings orally and in writing to approval authorities.
- Coordinating with related engineering and physical science fields to effectively discuss technical points and to recommend acceptable solutions.
- Support corporate and departmental evaluation efforts; stay abreast of technology developments and proactively engage stakeholders including federal agencies, national labs, industry, academia, non-profits, and others.
- Developing and utilizing data collection techniques to assess project and program effectiveness.
Additional Details:
Occasional multi-day travel will be required. Financial disclosure is required, and incumbent may be required to pass a background investigation.
