Connected Lighting System Interoperability.

U.S. Department of Energy

The development or adoption of interoperability standards or specifications by commercial lighting manufacturers has historically been very limited, particularly in the North American market. With the advent of more modern network interfaces in connected lighting systems, many manufacturers began to support system integration by offering application programming interfaces (APIs). Initial PNNL research in this area focused on characterizing the use of APIs to facilitate interoperability, identifying some of the challenges, limitations, and tradeoffs encountered.

0-10V Control for LED Streetlights. Following years of feedback from industry practitioners about issues with 0-10V control methods, PNNL conducted a laboratory investigation aimed at quantifying these issues and their energy impacts and evaluating if and how the ANSI C137.1–2022 standard might reduce the occurrence or severity of these issues.
