Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office
August 20, 2018The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee (HTAC) was established under Section 807 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to provide technical and programmatic advice to the Energy Secretary on the U.S. Department of Energy's hydrogen research, development, and demonstration efforts. HTAC includes representatives from domestic industry, academia, professional societies, government agencies, financial organizations, and environmental groups. Their work is guided by a formal charter, which is renewed every two years.
The Energy Department recently appointed six new members to the HTAC.

- Marie A. Ffolkes, President, Industrial Gases–Americas, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.
- Nick Irvin, Research and Development Director, Advanced Energy Systems, Cross Cutting Technology, and Strategy, Southern Company
- Anthony Leo, Vice President, Applications and Advanced Technology Development, FuelCell Energy
- Andrew Marsh, President and Chief Executive Officer, Plug Power
- Paul D. Rogers, Director, U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), U.S. Department of Defense
