The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking concept proposals from qualified U.S. manufacturers to participate in short-term, collaborative projects. DOE is expected to choose another 8–10 projects and will award up to approximately $3 million. Selectees will be given access to High Performance Computing facilities and will work with experienced DOE National Laboratories staff in addressing challenges in U.S. manufacturing.

Projects must demonstrate potential impact to energy efficiency in manufacturing and/or the development of new clean energy technologies with a potential for broad national impact. Eligibility for this program is limited to entities that manufacture products in the United States for commercial applications and the organizations that support them.

Concept papers are due April 24, 2016.
