Dr. Payam Delgoshaei is a technology manager for BTO’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems. He has more than 15 years of interdisciplinary experience in academia and industry. Payam holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Maryland College Park. He joined Penn State as a postdoctoral scholar, and subsequently he was a research associate for Penn State with a focus on data analytics at a U.S. DOE-funded consortium for building energy efficiency. Most recently, Dr. Delgoshaei was a mechanical engineer in Lennox International, as part of the Advanced Technology group. At Lennox, Payam focused on scientific instrumentation and data analytics to design and deploy predictive and diagnostics tools in order to infer the performance characteristics of deployed mechanical system equipment. He is a professional engineer, holds more than 15 patents, and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
